Radisson Plaza Resort Tahiti
Unlike the other large hotels in Tahiti, the Radisson Plaza Resort is not located near the airport. Depending on traffic it’s about a 20-30-minute drive from the airport and 10 minutes to downtown Papeete. Located in Matavai Bay on Tahiti’s East Coast, this is the black sand beach where everyone from Captain Cook to Bouganville first dropped anchor. The Radisson is far enough away to make you feel like you are out of the city yet close enough to allow you to enjoy all downtown Papeete has to offer. All 165 rooms have ocean views and from the hotel you can see the island of Moorea. The Radisson has done a great job of bringing a contemporary interpretation to Tahitian style. They are only hotel to currently offer high-speed internet access along with 24-hour access to their business center. In addition the Radisson also has a fantastic full service spa and health club, making this the perfect place to rejuvenate after a long flight.
