Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa
Located between Cook’s Bay and Opunohu Bay, this beautiful
resort has a lovely a white sand beach and is surrounded by a lush
beautiful garden. In addition, some of the best snorkeling on the
island is just under the Overwater Bungalows. There are a total
118 Garden, Beach, and Overwater Bungalows. Each of the bungalows
are spacious and beautifully appointed. The hotel has a beautiful
infinity pool, two tennis courts and a full service spa which is
well known for its natural treatments.

it’s opening. This traditional Polynesian style hotel has

bungalows have a large sundeck and sitting area. The Garden Pool
Bungalows feature a small private plunge pool for your enjoyment
while the Overwater Bungalows have direct access to the lagoon and
glass tables for viewing the sea life below. The resort has the
largest swimming pool on the island and the very excellent Manea
Spa.
Sofitel Moorea Beach Resort
The Sofitel Moorea is the only hotel located on Moorea’s East
coast and provides its guests with a truly beautiful view of Tahiti.
The resort has 111 beautiful bungalows situated overwater, on the
beach or surrounded by lush gardens. The hotel has a swimming pool
and a lagoon side restaurant well known for its beautiful sunrise
breakfast, in addition to a spa, Jacuzzi and tennis courts.
InterContinental Resort and Spa Moorea
Located on the northwest side of the island, the InterContinental
has the largest grounds of all the hotels in Moorea. The beach wraps
around the hotel giving one the sense there is always a private
beach available. The hotel has 49 Garden Lanai Rooms, 26 Garden
Bungalows, 20 Beach Bungalows and 50 Overwater Bungalows. Unfortunately,
the majority of the overwater bungalows are only half overwater.
For this reason, I think the Beach Bungalows offer the best value.
All the bungalows are designed in a suite layout and have a separate
bedroom and sitting area as well as private terrace and bath. The
hotel features two tennis courts and an on-site dive center. The
Helene Spa is located at the resort as is the Moorea Dolphin Center.

In addition there is a private motu accessible by private shuttle. There are a total of 50 private 2 & 3-bedroom villas. All have a private Jacuzzi with large outdoor terrace, stunning views, a modern well equipped kitchen, stylish bathrooms, laundry, and an inviting living and dining area.
There is a Fare Poté’e’ -- known also as a meeting house. A horizon pool, a bar serving fresh tropical juices, ales and hot beverages all day long. An on-site gourmet restaurant where you can choose to dine in a beautiful setting or choose to have meals delivered to your front door. You’ll also find a boutique and deli on-site as well as walking paths, a tennis court and small gym.
Te Nunoa, Private Garden Bungalow
Te Nunoa is a beautifully appointed guesthouse surrounded by a privately
enclosed garden that encompasses a spacious 8600sq.ft. (800 sq meters).
Created with the discriminating traveler in mind, it offers private
access to an exquisite white sand beach and is the only guesthouse
in Moorea to provide first class service and design with the opportunity
to experience a more authentic life outside of the hotels. Amenities
include a fully-equipped kitchen, private outdoor dining area, lounge
chairs, BBQ, wireless internet access, an iPod base, bikes, a kayak, outrigger canoe
and daily maid service
Hotel Fare Vai Moana
Those looking for a small moderately priced small hotel may enjoy
the Fare Vai Moana. Located on the West coast of Moorea, there are
only 13 bungalows. All the concrete bungalows have thatched roofs
and are simply decorated. There is no swimming pool here but the
hotel is located on a great beach and has an excellent beachside
restaurant.
Hotel Les Tipaniers
Located on the West side of the island, the Hotel Les Tipaniers
is a pleasant, family owned resort located on a beautiful white
sand beach. Here you will find 22 Beachfront and Garden Bungalows
as well as 12 Bungalows with Kitchenettes. All the bungalows have
thatched roofs and are rather simple in design. This hotel is well
received with budget travelers and for those traveling with children.
The hotel features two restaurants -- the dinner restaurant is well
known for its Italian specialities while the beachfront restaurant
is enjoyed for its great views and casual atmosphere for breakfast
& lunch. The dive center Scubapiti is based here.
Hotel Hibiscus
Also located on the West side of Moorea is the Hotel Hibiscus. A
small family run resort, the Hibiscus provides Garden and Lagoon
View bungalows and Garden View Rooms. All are equipped with kitchenettes.
While the hotel is conveniently located to many restaurants, markets
and boutiques, it is unfortunately rather run down looking.
Hotel Kaveka
Located on Cook’s Bay, the Hotel Kaveka is a small family
owned hotel. For over 20 years, owners Greg & Milo have catered
to travelers on a budget. There are 29 bungalows and all are quite
basic in what they offer - a bed & clean shower. The hotel is
located on Cook's Bay so you get a beautiful view of both the bay
and the surrounding mountains. This hotel offers good value for
the budget traveler.
